Getting Started

What is the National Peptide Registry?

We're an independent, nonprofit informational organization that catalogs peptide data — molecular structures, safety profiles, FDA/WADA regulatory status, and real-world patient experiences. We don't sell peptides, prescribe treatments, or endorse therapies. Think of us as a living, community-powered reference guide.

Who is this for? Do I need to be a doctor or scientist?

Not at all. While researchers and clinicians use our database, the registry is built for everyone — patients, biohackers, caregivers, and anyone curious about peptides. If you've ever Googled a peptide name and wished for a straightforward, trustworthy answer, this is for you.

What are peptides, and why should I care?

Peptides are short chains of amino acids — the same building blocks that make up proteins in your body. Many peptides occur naturally (like insulin), and synthetic versions are being researched for everything from weight management and tissue repair to cognitive enhancement and immune support. The field is moving fast, and reliable information is hard to find. That's why we exist.

Is this free?

Yes, completely. Browsing the registry, reading peptide profiles, and joining as a member is 100% free. We believe access to health information should never have a paywall.

Joining the Registry

What happens when I join?

You'll complete a short intake form (about 3–5 minutes) that asks about your demographics, health background, peptide experience, and what you'd like to learn more about. Your responses are anonymized and contribute to the largest crowd-sourced peptide dataset being built today. You'll also get optional email updates on regulatory changes and new research.

What information do you collect?

We ask for basic demographics (age range, country, biological sex), your general health status, which peptides you're interested in or have used, your experience with sourcing and administration, and any outcomes or side effects you've noticed. We never ask for your full name, address, Social Security number, or anything that could personally identify you.

How long does it take to sign up?

About 3 to 5 minutes. The form is broken into five short steps, and you can skip optional fields if you're in a hurry.

Can I update or delete my information later?

We're building tools to let you update your responses as your experience evolves. Since your data is anonymized at submission, deletion requests are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us and we'll work with you.

Privacy & Trust

Is my data truly anonymous?

Yes. Your personal identity is completely stripped from any data we publish, analyze, or share. We use aggregated, anonymized datasets — meaning your individual responses are blended with hundreds of others. No one, including our own team, can trace a data point back to you.

Will you sell my data?

No. Period. We do not sell your data to pharmaceutical companies, marketers, advertisers, or any third party. Our mission is transparency, not profit.

Who sees my information?

Only anonymized, aggregated data is ever made visible — for example, "X% of registry members report using BPC-157 for tissue repair." Individual responses are never published, shared, or accessible to outside parties.

How is my health data stored and protected?

We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. Access to raw (pre-anonymized) data is restricted to a minimal operations team and is governed by strict internal policies.

Legal & Safety

Are peptides legal?

It depends on the peptide and your jurisdiction. Some peptides like semaglutide and liraglutide are FDA-approved prescription medications. Others are classified as "compounding eligible" or "research use only." A few are banned by sports regulatory bodies like WADA. Our registry clearly labels the regulatory status of every peptide we catalog so you can make informed decisions.

What's the difference between FDA-approved, compounding-eligible, and research-only?

FDA-approved means the peptide has passed rigorous clinical trials and is manufactured by licensed pharmaceutical companies. Compounding-eligible means a licensed compounding pharmacy can prepare it under a doctor's prescription, but it hasn't gone through the full FDA approval process. Research-only means it's available for laboratory or scientific study but is not approved for human therapeutic use.

Does joining the registry mean I'm endorsing peptide use?

Absolutely not. Many of our members have never taken a peptide — they're simply interested in the science or want to stay informed. Joining means you value transparent health data. Nothing more, nothing less.

I've never taken peptides — can I still join?

Yes! We welcome everyone. Even if you're just curious, your demographic data and research interests help us understand who's paying attention to peptide science and what questions matter most. One of the options in our intake form is "Never taken, actively researching" — that's you.

Ready to join?
It only takes 5 minutes.

Your voice matters. Every registry member helps build a clearer picture of how peptides work in the real world.
